May 24: Japanese Bonus Tracks FOR YOU!

May 24

It feels like all my dreams are coming true in one week. Playing with Def Leppard, collaborating with some of my favourite musicians like Shawn lee….finding a couple of amazing boys in the UK to be in my UK band…(I cannot wait for that show!)….and now, having my album out in Japan.

Of course like all upheaval in life, even when it’s good, I am learning so much about myself. I hope you, too, remember to take a few moments to dial down the noise, take care of yourself and know you are loved.

At Tower Records Shibuya Tokyo

I of course want to share the bonus tracks with you from the Japanese release as NO ONE else has them!!! And I hope you love them.

“City Nights” was a song I discovered through one of the Yacht Rock pages on Facebook. This year I just decided to make friends with social media…that is, no posting negative stuff, no reading negative stuff, no complaining, no hidden messages, no passive aggressive behaviour….just offerings. Sharing the journey and hoping to connect with all of you. I’ve found the Yacht Rock groups on Facebook to be filled with lovely nerds, people who post old, undiscovered gems or celebrate our usual heroes of the genre. One post was about a band called “Off Course” from Japan and the song they shared was “City Nights”. I loved it so much I had to do a version of it.

The other song was Bobby Caldwell’s “What You Won’t Do For Love”. Like Eric L, I knew only the Go West version :)….but my brother Tony who has been so instrumental (pardon the pun) in helping me this year….from the comfort of his EZ chair…suggested that Bobby C was big in Japan so they might appreciate it.

Iain McNally who plays guitar with me produced both tracks and took such care with them. Dave Salley who mixed B&P mixed the tracks (which were assembled in London & St Marys) and then Tom Meyer from Master & Servant mastered the tracks. It was great to combine forces from Nashville and Germany with local pals, and voila…bonus tracks.

Please do not share. The idea behind doing these was to help our Japanese friends move a few CDs.

WHAT YOU WON’T DO FOR LOVE

CITY NIGHTS

As always, I hope you’re all very well and I’m always thinking of you and thankful for you.

One more thing I wanted to mention is that I have 2 spots remaining for coaching this summer. Spend 6 sessions with me online (bi-weekly) and you’ll have that partner you’ve needed to help you start your creative project, or make change in your life. Coaching isn’t therapy, it’s a partnership designed to help one person maximize their potential. Active listening is integral and I really spend a great deal of time getting inside each clients’ story, motivations, blocks and best energy practices. I’ve benefitted from several coaches in my life - in the areas of energy, fitness and career. Right now the program is 50% off the regular price of $3500 USD. That comes to $1750. This price will only last until June 15th so if you’d like to sign up, drop me a note. Coaching also makes an incredible gift for someone in your life who you know has incredible potential, but needs a partner in accountability, or someone to help them clear the path to really thrive.

If a whole coaching program isn’t right for you, I have an amazing Masterclass in Writing Your Book as well as a 60 Minute Custom Voice Assessment. I had an incredible voice assessment session two nights ago with a physician who is working on his singing chops and in a matter of 10 minutes, he was making changes to his voice that were of massive benefit. I held a masterclass on Writing Your Book with a writer last month and she’s finally cleared her desk and created an incredible space to make magic, something she hadn’t done in years.

So just don’t forget I have these offerings, and they are designed to help people which I love doing.

I love you all, and thank you for sharing in all the success lately! XOXO Emm
